Russian Azerbaijani detained over illicit drug traffic

As APA reports, the detained Maharram Miriyev was born in Khurshid village of Salyan region. During the search in Miriyev's apartment in Baku, more than 53kg of strong narcotic drugs- heroine, opium and hashish were confiscated.

Miriyev in concert with different persons, including Iranians was trafficking great deal of narcotics to Russia from Iran via railway.

Necessary investigative actions are being taken to detain other members of the transnational organized criminal gang.
