Landslide cause in Dozular village announced

The cause of the landslide in Dozular village of the Azerbaijani region of has been found.

The cause for landslide is the 630mm water pipe flowing from north-west of the village, the region executive power official Asif Hajiyev told the APA

There observed three water escapes in the pipe. People used it to water the land for 20 years. This kind of irrigation causes landslide on slopes.

As the result of the landslide, four houses were damaged and 42 families were evacuated. The land was observed to slide four meters from August 23-28. It moved 20-25cm today.
