Azeris among illegal foreign workers expelled from Russia

More than 50 people were expelled from Russia after the first stage of operative and preventive actions against violation of migration laws, which was completed on August, 25.

About 1,300 companies and various organizations, where foreign labor power might be used, were checked up.

More than 21,000 foreign workers and about 4,000 places of compact living of foreign citizens and people without citizenship were checked up. Policemen revealed 2,720 violations of the rules of using foreign labor power, as well as of illegal stay in the Russian Federation. Administrative fines, more than $50 thousand in sum, were imposed.

Administrative reports were drawn up against over 40 citizens from Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, who were staying in Russia illegally. The offenders were taken to the reception center of Krasnoyarsk Directorate for Internal Affairs.

Apart from the checkup, policemen were given a task to establish the identities of organizers and accomplices of illegal migration and other people involved in illegal use of foreign labor power.
