Soldiers, firemen and ambulances sent to landslide zone in Khanlar

The members of Azerbaijani Emergencies Ministry's commission arrived at the landslide zone in Dozular village in Khanlar region.

Deputy minister Orujali Hajiyev leads the commission members. The commission members said they found out 18 ruined living buildings, one school and one administrative building. The rest are in dangerous conditions, EM public affairs office told the APA.

The Emergencies Ministry together with local authorities started evacuation process. Though the residents were suggested to live in 16 camps for 8-10 persons aside from slide zone, they refused and preferred to live at their relatives'.

The EM Civil Defense Regiment soldiers set posts in the slide zone, firemen and ambulances were also involved to prevent any danger. Mostly affected families were granted material aids. The Ministry takes all necessary measures to remove the consequences of the natural disaster. The landslide began on August 23 in Dozular village still continues.
