Former Russian Health Minister asks Azerbaijani President to release Ali Insanov

Russian ex-Health Minister Tatyana Dmitriyeva and Rustam Rakhmatulin, director general of "Geotar-Media" Publishing House appealed to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for releasing former Health Minister Ali Insanov, who is held in National Security Ministry's jail.

Togrul Babayev, lawyer for Insanov told, according to APA.

The appeal reads that academic Insanov made important contributions to healthcare, is author of several books and faces serious health problems. Taking all these into account, they ask to commute his punishment.
