Smuggler attempting to pass border shot dead

A deadly incident occurred near the Alazan River in Azerbaijani region of Zagatala that borders with Georgia.

Region residents Nadir and Huseyn Aliyev brothers attempted to smuggle non-ferrous metal-aluminum to Georgia. Muganli village authority official Imran Aliyev told APA's Shekli-Zagatala bureau that they smugglers did not obey border guards, who told them to stop. The border guards had to fire at them. The wounded Nadir Aliyev could pass Georgia but died there.
