Azerbaijani peacekeeping party to turn into independent military unit

The structure of the peacekeeping party in Azerbaijani Armed Forces will be expanded.

As APA reports, this is due to increasing iof the number of peacekeepers of NATO and other international organizations in conflict zones soon.

Peacekeeping party is expected to become an independent military unit (brigade).

Defense Ministry press service head Ramiz Malikov said he has no information about this.

He said Azerbaijani peacekeepers are serving in three countries adding this issue is solved by the state.
