Prisoner breaks out

Prisoner of Detention Place #12 Arzu Pashayev, who was sentenced to 8 years in jail, broke out of the prison on 22 August.

The detention place chief Fakraddin Aliyev told the APA Pashayev was arrested on 23 August.

He ruled out the version that his prison mates helped him break out of the prison.
Justice Ministry department chief Rafig Ramazanov told the APA Garadagh district prosecutor launched a criminal case under article 304 of Criminal Code (breaking out of prison). The prisoner is held in Bayil jail #1 now.

Arzu Pashayev was sentenced to 8 years in jail in 2005 and faces charges of deliberate manslaughter. He killed his wife while living in Russia. Pashayev was held in detention place #14. He was transferred to detention place #12 about a month and a half ago.
