Haji Mammadov trial postponed due to his bad health

Court of Grave Crimes today continued the court proceeding against the criminal gang led by Haji Mammadov, former official of Crime Investigation Department of Interior Ministry.

The court process started two hours later. Judge Ali Seyfaliyev explained this by the defendants being late. Hr also declared defendant Haji Mammadov will not attend the trial.

"The notification sent by the National Security Ministry Investigation Office colonel Gandili says Haji Mammadov had high blood pressure in the evening of 20 August. He is still feeling bad. So, he could not attend the trial," the judge said.

Lawyer Hazi Mammadov protested to continuation of the trial without the defendant's presence. Lawyer Adil Ismayilov objected to postponing of the trial.

Judge Ali Seyfaliyev declared postponing of the trial till 23 August. He said if Haji Mammadov is not brought to the trial, relevant legal actions will be taken.

The gang led by Haji Mammadov faced the charges of several grave crimes, including kidnappings and manslaughters, APA reports.
