Sisters arrested for human trafficking

Two women involved in human traffic were arrested during the joint operation conducted by Azerbaijan's State Border Service and Interior Ministry (IM) Main Office To Fight Organized Crimes (MOFOC) on August 16.

By the reports of the trafficking victim, it turned out that she was cheated into employment in by Baku residents Sabina and Samira Alipashayeva sisters and underwent sexual exploitation in Turkey in 2004.

Sisters were arrested yesterday, Elhsan Zahidov, IM press service department chief told the APA. A criminal case was launched on relevant article of Criminal Code in the MOFOC investigation department. The investigation is under way. Actions are being taken to find other traffic victims cheated by them.

31 criminals involved in human traffic were arrested in seven months of this year.
