Control beefed up in Azerbaijani border checkpoints

Control was beefed up in Azerbaijani border checkpoints after revealing group attempting to commit terrorist acts in London on 10 August, this year.

The State Border Service deputy chief Ilham Mehdiyev told journalists, APA reports.

He said documents are checked more seriously in the border checkpoints.

"Border guards are taking precautionary actiosn taking into account ongoing developments in the region as well as in the world. Any attempts to pass borders illegally are prevented and suspected are revealed," he said.
