Ammunition depot cleared in Aghstafa region

The ammunition depot near Saloglu village of Aghstafa region of Azerbaijan is being cleared.

The Azerbaijan National Agency of Mine Action (ANAMA) told the APA nearly 40,000 unexploded military ordnances are supposed to be in the depot. These military ordnances under open air can explode anytime.

The ANAMA specialists cleared about 1,100 UXO and sent to special place for disarming. Most of them will be disarmed immediately. The local executive power and police forces will control the clearing process.

The clearing is held by the order of local executive power and Cabinet of Ministers in the framework of ANAMA's cooperation with the NATO Maintenance and Supply Organization.
