Second edition of the Red Book to be published in Azerbaijan

Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry is working on the second edition of the Red Book.

The Ministry Flora Protection Department chairwoman, Sadagat Mammadova told journalists that the editorial staff and working groups have already been set up and expeditions will start soon.

"At present Botany Institute is studying 450 species and Zoology Institute is studying 420 kinds. The Book will have been published by 2009."

The Ministry plans to issue brochures of the Red Book for children, APA reports.
