UNESCO's Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of World Culture and Natural Heritage session held in Vilnius

The 30th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of World Culture and Natural Heritage has been held on July 8-16 in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Topics on "Protection, Conservation of common to all mankind culture and natural heritage and improvement of the said process", "Rise of human responsibilities for culture and natural heritage" have been discussed at the annual session. New actual problems to be discussed at the annual session. This time, discussions on "Climatic changes in the globe and its effects on heritage" was on the agenda of session.

Representatives of 21 countries participated at the session, AzerTAg informs. Eleonora Huseynova, Ambassador, Permanent represenattive of Azerbaijan at UNESCO, Abulfaz Garayev, Minister of Culture and Tourism, staff members of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources represented Azerbaijan at the session.

President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus invited Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva to this session. President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva couldn't take part at the session because of busy shedule. She sent a letter to participants of session and expressed her best regards.
