The meeting brought together some 100 leading Muslim communities, APA reports.
The Committee deputy chief Elchin Asgharov said the objective of the meeting is to get acquainted with problems of religious communities and religious men, familiarize with the views and proposals of these communities on the current religious situation and investigate ways of solving these problems.
The representatives of religious communities touched on difficulties appearing during compiling documents for registering a local community, managing the communities in line with legislation, renting or building of mosques, places of worship as well as difficulties with regard to relations with local executive bodies and other organizations while organizing Koran and other religious courses and rituals in mosques.
Asgharov also offered establishing a special center of legal assistance for religious communities taking into account that most issues are of juridical content. The Committee also plans to establish a data base of specialists with higher religious education in the country soon.
The SCFRO will organize a meeting with non-Islam religious communities in Baku Next time.
