Association of Azerbaijan's friends founded in Germany

On the constituent meeting of structure there were representatives of intelligentsia of Germany and Azerbaijan, cooperating in the field of science, education and culture, representatives of societies and circles, compatriots living and working in this country, as well as students.

The representatives of embassy of Azerbaijan invited to the constituent meeting in Germany and Presidium of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of the Europe have supported establishment of the "Association of the Azerbaijan culture in Germany" which will promote the Germany-Azerbaijan cooperation in the field of science, education and culture.

At the meeting, has been elected the international presidium of structure comprising Germans and Azerbaijanis. Art worker Steffen Schemer has been elected as chairman, artist-designer Ibrahim Ahrari and Rafig Azadi - its assistants, scientist-engineer Adil Bayramov, sculptor Bernhard Leman, restorer Hamida Gaibova, jurist Perviz Yazdani and musician Afshan Pelaheng - members of presidium.

It has noted been, that the goal of establishment of the "Association of friends to the Azerbaijani culture in Germany" consists in making contribution to expansion of cultural cooperation of Germany and Azerbaijan, development of dialogue between peoples and cultures, dynamical development of friendship and mutual understanding between German and Azerbaijani people.

On the constituent meeting, also has been announced, that the structure has passed official registration in Germany and starts activity. Its headquarters will be in Berlin, AzerTAg reports.
