Sheikulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh addresses to press

The Sheik said the reason that makes him to take this step is recent libeling on him by some printed press.

As APA reports, the message reads that the articles published by some papers are contrary to ethic norms and are preplanned and biased provocation of forces who are against our statehood and independence.

"The aim of the organizers of this campaign is obvious: striking a blow to our independent state by making populist slogans, breaking stability, provoking ethnic and sectarian conflict and finally, to make it hard to solve our urgent problem-Nagorno Karabakh conflict," the Sheik underlined.

Pashazadeh also said his unambiguous statement regarding the known caricature event aimed at preventing undesirable events from happening.

"I expressed my position and confirm it again. According to the reactions to my statement that meets the state of Azerbaijan's interests, some are discontent with my stance which meets nationwide interests indeed," he said.

The Sheik also said he has made a lot of contributions to his motherland and people and is ready to do utmost for this purpose.

"As a Sheikuislam, I know very well what I say and where. I have never taken any step contrary to Azerbaijan’s interests. I address to all my compatriots calling on them to refrain from any uncareful steps and warn against relying on enemy."
