World Health Organization head to visit Baku

According to Trend, the visit is scheduled for April 25 and will include meeting with the Healthcare Minister Oktay Shiraliyev.

Development of cooperation, election of Azerbaijan to WHO Executive committee, reforms of healthcare system, bird flu prevention on Caucasus and development of the healthcare plans will be discussed at the meeting.

"That's the first visit of WHO head to Azerbaijan for the whole period of our cooperation," she said.

Lee Jong-wook was born on April 12, 1945 in Seoul. Received the doctor's diploma from the Seoul National University and has MA in healthcare from Hawaii university. He works in WHO for more than 20 years. In May 2003 he was appointed as the WHO Director General for 5 years term. Married, has a son.
