Gang members arrested with charge of raping and torturing two Azerbaijani women in Turkey

Four members of a five-member criminal gang, who face the charge of abducting and raping two Azerbaijani women in Ajipayam district of Denizli, Turkey, have been arrested.

According to APA, they were detained as a result of the operation conducted by Turkish gendarme. The gang members are reported to have been raping a woman named A.S, who lived in Denizli, 23 times in three days. Another woman named S.G was also raped.

The gang members abducted the women and tied them to tree and gagged them in the forest.

The criminals used severe torture against the hostages, put out cigarettes on them.

After taking mobile phones, precious things from the women, the criminals phoned to ex-husband of A.S whom she had been married for 15-year, and demanded 15000 Turkish lires (nearly $12 thousand).

Her husband informed police immediately.

The police found the women tied to tree.

Four gang members were detained and one managed to escape.

Three criminals were arrested, the one who is reported to be officer of the district municipality will be interrogated.

The detained gang members are accused of creating an organized criminal gang, raping, using physical torture, blackmail and robbery.
