New gold mines to open in Azerbaijan in 2006

There is big interest in Azerbaijan towards in the gold mines and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources conduct regular exploration work and define new areas for conduct of researches, Huseyn Bagirov, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources, told.

Several geological groups will carry out work in some new places in 2006, Trend informs.

"We are very hopeful that taking in to consideration the initial analysis the places of new gold mines will be announced soon," the Minister underlined.

The work is carried out in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Big and Small Caucasus, while initial researches have been set up in some districts of Azerbaijan.
