Detention period of Akif Maharramov elongated for 3 more months

An appeal submitted by the former Chief of the Pharmacology and Medical Technical Supply Department of the Ministry of Health Akif Maharramov currently being detained in the jail of the Ministry of National Security (MNS) was reviewed yesterday.

As APA reports according to the lawyer of the ex-chief Kamandar Nasibov, the Court of Appeal kept in force the decision issued by the Nasimi region Court on elongation of the detention period of Akif Maharramov for 3 more months.

The lawyer claiming that the decision is unfair informed that health condition of A.Maharramov was gradually deteriorating and it posed a danger for his life.

It should be noted that the Former Department Chief suffering from diabetes was detained on November 22 last year.
