31 January 2006 [13:33] - TODAY.AZ
Another release of the Accord publication covering conflicts was presented on Monday.

The issue, published with the financial support of the British Conciliation Resources organization, provides comprehensive analysis on the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the factors impeding a peace accord, AssA-Irada reports.

In his opening remarks, director of the Center for Strategic Initiatives Farhad Mammadov said the articles in the magazine, translated into Russian and English, will be distributed among centers engaged in studying conflicts. "The journal will be published in Azeri and Armenian languages in the future," he said.

British Ambassador Laurie Bristow said the project being implemented by Conciliation Resources is funded by the British government. "The magazine covers new opinions on the conflict resolution, those of foreign ministers, citizens of the two countries, and NGOs operating in the region, as well as the wording of relevant international documents," Bristow said.

The Ambassador said the latest issue of the magazine primarily aims to reflect the positions of the conflicting sides, expressing a hope that this will consequently make the settlement process constructive.
