Constitutional law on changes and addendum to Constitution NAR approved by the President

As Ali Abdullayev, Chairman of Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Autonomous Republic, told Nakhchivan bureau of ANS, the changes and addendum contribute to better protect rights and freedoms of citizens.

Under the amendments, Nakhchivan residents get right to directly appeal to the Supreme Court of the Autonomous Republic in case their rights are violated by normative legal acts of legislative or executive structures. A human rights ombudsman is appointed to Nakhchivan under the addendum as well.
