Head of investigation group of Baku Prosecutor's Office: "Investigation on the grave crime committed in Nardaran will take up a long time"

"The happening event is not politically motivated. This is quite a crime. We are currently conducting investigation; we will make clear how the crime happened and who are the culprits. Initial testimonies have been given, but they are unilateral".

As APA reports according to the Head of investigation group of Baku Prosecutor's Office who is conducting investigation on the happenings perpetrated in Nardaran on January 25, Aydin Aliyev, Nardaran residents have to bear testimonies on the fact.

A.Aliyev said besides police witnessed the happenings, Nardaran residents wounded in the skirmish - Ilham Guliyev and Hasan Azimov, other people have already given their testimonies, added that, nobody has been detained in connection with the fact.

The Head of investigation group said the process will take up a long time, he noted that investigation period is 4 months: "Information we have is unilateral. Other side has to give testimony and investigation should be continued in order to analyze the happenings deeply".

Nardaran residents plan to hold next action on February 3 as a protest to the occurrences. Residents told they conduct negotiations in the level of Nardaran authority office for purpose of achieving a dialogue with police.

But they say they are not in favor of dialogue and will continue their protests as long as the culprits of the crime are unpunished. They also say they have not been able to meet with those wounded in the skirmish. According to the residents, though the wounded were in Emergency Medical Aid Hospital named after Musa Nagiyev up to yesterday, then they were taken to unknown place.

Nardaran authority office told that they wish to act as a mediator for elimination of the problem in reality.
