No tree cutting growth observed in Azerbaijan

No tree cutting growth is observed in Azerbaijan in connection with the fuel prices rise.

There is no increase of tree cutting in Azerbaijan as compared January 2005, the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry told Trend.

The Ministry works in the intensive regime. It established duty system in forest economies and imposed fines in regard to the people violating rules.

The Ministry stressed that tree cutting is mainly observed in mountainous regions in the winter due to lack of energy.
