According to the information of Armenian sources, 137,743 people live in occupied lands of Azerbaijan

Results of census carried out by separatist regime in the lands of Azerbaijan occupied by Armenia on October 18-27 last year was made public.

According to initial information, 137,743 people live in Nagorno Karabakh. The number of the population has decreased by 5.4% or 7822 people compared to as of January 1, 2005. Population of Khankendi decreased is 50,000. Final results will be publicized in the second term of 2006. It should be noted that, this is the first census since the occupation of Azerbaijani lands. Censuses were carried out in 1926,1939,1959,1970, 1979 and 1989.
