Emin Shahbazov: "Turkish Agriculture Minister's statement on Bird flue danger in the countries bordering with Turkey doesn't concern Azerbaijan"

"There is Bird flue virus in the countries bordering with Turkey. However, these countries don't announce it" - Turkish Agriculture Minister Mehdi Akar claims.

As APA reports, Deputy Chairman of the State Veterinary Service at Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry Emin Shahbazov doesn't agree with the Turkish Minister's statement. E.Shahbazov told that M.Akar's words about Bird flue danger in the countries bordering with Turkey don't concern Azerbaijan.

Stating that Azerbaijan has the shortest border with Turkey, E.Shahbazov stressed that 7 monitorings on Bird flue have been held in the country so far and no virus has been found: "The poultry farms and private farms are monitored now".

E.Shahbazov also added that, the US experts will arrive in Azerbaijan tomorrow to study the situation on bird flue in the country. According to him, the World Health Organization suggested Azerbaijan to benefit from the assistance of Turkish experts to implement better precautions. Azerbaijan has accepted the offer.
