Distribution of social aids to families of scanty means to be delayed

24 December 2005 [09:15] - TODAY.AZ
Distribution of social aids to families of scanty means will be delayed. APA was given this information by the director of the addressed social aid sector of the Ministry of Labour and Social protection of Population (MLSPP) Vafa Mutallibova.
According to her words, social aids are expected to be given by 1 April. The delay is absolutely connected with a technical problem. Cadres should be trained on this field and special computer software should be prepared in order to begin distribution of aids.

V.Mutallibova said that the bill “On addressed state social aid” will come into force on 1 January of the next year according to a presidential decree. Two documents – “Rules for calculation of family’s average monthly income” and “Rules for appealing in order to obtain addressed social aid, its appointment, distribution and declining its distribution” are being prepared in MLSPP at present for putting the bill into a working state. The drafts of these documents will be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers in these days.

After the Cabinet of Ministers approves the documents implementation of the measures required for distribution of social aids will be started. It is expected that aids will be given to approximately 250 thousand families of scanty means.
