"Azerbaijan Year in Russia" starts today

Official opening ceremony of start of "Azerbaijan Year in Russia" in Kremlin Palace of Russia will take place today.
President Ilham Aliyev will leave for Moscow to take part in the solemn ceremony in the evening.
It must be noted that the agreement on holding Azerbaijan year in Russia and Russian year in Azerbaijan found its reflection on "Moscow declaration" signed during President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Moscow on February last year. Gennadi Yevsyukov-head of press service of Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan informed APA holding such ceremonies serves to strengthen political partnership relations, extend political dialogue, bilateral development of economic, scientific and cultural relations. As to G.Yevsyukov, in accordance with the confirmed plan, various ceremonies will be held in several cities of Russia.

These ceremonies are directed to preserving cultural heritage of Russia and Azerbaijan, development of relations of citizens of both countries, strengthening relations with public organizations, forming education, culture and information area with general features.

It must be reminded, Azerbaijan days will be celebrated in many cities beginning from St. Petersburg till Khabarovsk during the year. Not only cultural ceremonies but also round tables, sport competitions are considered to be celebrated in the frame of the Azerbaijan Days./APA/
