Azerbaijan switches back to winter time

The time will be moved back one hour in connection with transfer to the winter period on October 27 at 5:00 a.m., the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents said today.

According to the decision by the Cabinet of Ministers on transition to the summer and winter time in the territory of Azerbaijan dated March 17, 1997, each last Sunday in March the time is moved forward by one hour and on the last Sunday of October - an hour back.

The Azerbaijani State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents controls the execution of this decision.
