Azerbaijani scientists intend to turn country into regional and research centre - ANAS

Currently, the number of young doctors of philosophy is increasing in Azerbaijan, according to an article of the President of Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Akif Alizadeh published in Republic newspaper on Thursday.

According to the material, Azerbaijani youth has a strong interest in science in recent years. After the adoption of the law 'On Education' in the country, over 1000 young people entered doctoral studies in ANAS.

The author of the article believes that Azerbaijan has every condition to turn the country into a regional scientific centre.

"Azerbaijani scientists intend to turn the country into a regional and research centre, " Alizadeh said.

He also stressed that currently a new period of reforms based on realities of the modern world has begun in ANAS.
