Azerbaijan’s defence industry production ups

From 2005-2013, the volumes of Azerbaijan's defence industry production rose by 8.3 times, Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence Industry told on Thursday.

Thus, as of July 2013 the volume of production of country's defence enterprises reached 120 million manats.

The largest increase in production in this sphere was observed in 2011. In 2011, the country's defence industry produced goods worth 154.5 million manats, which is 80.7 percent more than in 2010.

A positive dynamic was also observed in the product range. As of late July 2013, the country's defence enterprises produced 750 kinds of products, which is 67 percent more than in 2005. For comparison, in 2005 Azerbaijan's defence industry produced 449 items.
