Largest jackpot won in Azerbaijan

A jackpot worth 439,135 manats has been won at the 401st draw of the "6/40" lottery organized by Azerlotereya JSC on September 16. This is the largest amount that has ever been won in the history of the Azerbaijani lottery.

On the same day, a jackpot in the amount of 63,375 manats was also awarded at the 806th draw of the "5/36" lottery.

Azerlotereya JSC was established in accordance with a decree of the Azerbaijani President dated November 23, 2001 to improve lottery activities, protect the rights and interests of citizens, increase revenues of the state budget from lotteries and tighten state control over lottery activities.

The founder of the Azerlotereya JSC is the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development, according to the decree.

Furthermore, the decree says that Azerlotereya JSC is in charge of the organization and conduct of all types of lotteries in Azerbaijan.

The state contol over the organization and conduct of the lottery is exercised by the State Committee for Securities.
