Baku will host UN Security Council's conference on cybercrime in October which will be organized jointly with Azerbaijan's Ministry of Youth and Sports, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, Ambassador Antonius Broek said during the first National Congress of Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan on Saturday.
According to him, the representatives of young people from many countries, including permanent and non-permanent members of UN Security Council will participate in this conference.
"Azerbaijan got the right to be represented in UN Security Council for two years and taking into account that this is the last year, it was decided to hold this UN event in Azerbaijan. The conference will be dedicated to cybercrime issue," UN Resident Coordinator said.
The conditions created by Azerbaijani government for young people's participation in socio-political processes and social projects are worthy of being appreciated, Broek added. The participation of young people in public service and private sector permanently grows. Two state programs in the sphere of youth policy have been implemented in Azerbaijan.
"The volume of funds allocated for youth projects has repeatedly increased. We closely cooperate with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in last two years," Broek noted.
