Bust to Husey Javid inaugurated in Montenegro

A ceremony to unveil a bust to famous Azerbaijan playwright and poet Huseyn Javid, and Baku Street took place in the Royal Park of Podgorica, Montenegro. These projects have been implemented in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev`s executive order on the organization of the 130th jubilee of Huseyn Javid.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Jukanovic and Deputy Premier of Azerbaijan Elchin Efendiyev as well as officials, diplomats, scientists, artists and journalists.

The opening ceremony was addressed by Efendiyev, Culture Minister of Montenegro Branislav Micinovic, Podgorica mayor Miomir Mugosa and others.

A bay tree was planted as a symbol of Montenegro-Azerbaijan friendship.

There is a plaque at the entrance of the park saying “Reconstruction of the Royal Park was carried out at the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, with support of the government of Azerbaijan and Mayor`s Office of Podgorica as a symbol of Azerbaijan-Montenegro friendship”.
