AzerNewsThe Institute of Physics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has launched nano research, ANAS reported on August 12.
Section Head at the Institute, Professor Emil Huseynov said they bought from Japan ultraviolet lighting system and ellipsometric spectrometer system, which operates in the infrared diapason, and the atomic force microscope to study the optical properties of nanocrystals, while X-ray systems were bought from Germany, and solar cells characterizing devises from the United States.
These devices are unique scientific and technical equipment for nano research in physics.
At the same time, scientists from the Institute in cooperation with Belarusian colleagues are conducting research in the field of laser physics. The two-year project is led by Head of the Laboratory of the Institute of Physics, Ph.D in Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Oktay Taghiyev (Azerbaijan) and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Gennady Yablonskiy (Belarus).
The results of the research will be applied in the electronic equipment in the field of visualization in medicine and in study of microdamage in bone and human skin.
Activities on strengthening the logistics of the Institute of Physics are carried out under the project implemented through a grant of the Science Development Fund under the President of Azerbaijan.
