
Archeologists carrying out excavation near Eyvazli village of Azerbaijan's Aghdam region found an ancient settlement belonging to the cattle-breeding and farmer tribes.
The age of the settlement discovered in Ismayilbey valley is roughly seven thousand years, regional television EL TV reported. Ancient settlement with 5 hectares territory consists of 5 cultural layers.
That's the 62th settlement found in the unoccupied lands of Aghdam region over the last two years. Archeologists suggests that exploring the settlement belonging to the neolithic period, world archeologists can be able to know more about transitional period to farming, as well as investigate genetic, chronological and material-cultural history of the people.
