US Envoy: Azerbaijanis have respect for all religions and ethnic minorities

The Azerbaijanis as a society that have for centuries had mutual respect for all religions and ethnic minorities, U.S ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar told journalists on Thursday within an iftar dinner held in U.S ambassador's residence.

"It is very much honor and privilege for me for hosting this iftar dinner as U.S ambassador in Azerbaijan. I know that for Muslims Ramadan is the most sacred month of the year", Morningstar said.

He also added that Ramadan is a month to reconstitute oneself.

"I am particularly happy to celebrate here tonight. The Azerbaijanis as a society have for centuries had mutual respect for all religions and ethnic minorities. I think that it is something to celebrate tonight", U.S ambassador said.
