Gabala city to take in first ever regional car show in Azerbaijan

An auto exhibition, Caucasus Motor-Show, will be held in Azerbaijan's northern city of Gabala on July 26-28.

The tenth exhibition of this kind is organized by the Azerbaijan Auto Dealers Association jointly with the Autograph magazine.

Previous open-air exhibitions called Caspian Motor-Show were held in the capital Baku and the seaside resort area of Nabran, while the current show will be held in a mountainous zone and is expected to be more extreme.

The event will be held in the middle of the Caucasus Mountains on the banks of the rapid Demiraparan river, which means "taking away the iron". The most reckless drivers of the Club4X4 will apply their skills in a Jeep trial.

The latest models from world-renowned brands such as Nissan, Ford, Renault, Infiniti, Peugeot, Kia, Fiat, Jeep, Hyundai, BMW, and Volkswagen will participate in the show. However, it is still not the full list of the participants and the show is expected to present more surprises for the fans of sports cars.

The show will be distinguishable with such premiers of the car industry as Renault Megane, Kia Quoris, Infiniti JX, Peugeot 301, and BMW 6 Gran Coupe.

The first day of the exhibition will see the Karting Championship among participants. Visitors of the exhibition can participate in an auto quiz and win gifts for their cars from the show's partners.

The grand opening is expected on July 27 at 19.00 local time. The traditional contest Miss Auto 2013 will also be held as part of the Motor-Show.

The show will be accompanied with music by DJs of the Radio 106FM and well-known Dervish Blues Band.

Gabala has become an attractive tourist destination. The northern city has turned into a venue for major cultural events in recent years. This year Gabala has already hosted the third Gabala International Art Exhibition in May, and concerts in the frame of the third International Mugham Festival in March. From July 24 until August 6 Gabala will host the fifth grand International Music Festival.
