Participants of VI Congress of Azerbaijani Journalists appeal to President - UPDATE - PHOTOS

The VI Congress of Journalists of Azerbaijan started its work on Thursday in Baku.

The participants of the Congress visited the graves of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the founder of Azerbaijan's national press Hasan bey Zardabi in the Alley of Honor.

Then the Congress began its work in Azerbaijan State Musical Theatre named after R.Behbutov.

The reports prepared by the Chairman of Azerbaijan's Press Council and Chairman of Control Revision Commission will be heard at the meeting.

The Congress will also make changes to the Rules of Professional Conduct of Journalists of Azerbaijan and in the charter of Press Council.

The changes to the Rules of Professional Conduct of Journalists of Azerbaijan have been prepared within the framework of a joint project carried out by the Press Council and the OSCE Office in Baku in 2010 - 2011. Members of the Congress should express their attitude to these changes.
