Book about Heydar Aliyev introduced in London

London has hosted the presentation of "Rise and fall and rise again of Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan" book.

The presentation ceremony was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to London, Azerbaijani and British public figures, journalists and representatives of local organizations.

Addressing the event, Azerbaijani ambassador Fakhraddin Gurbanov spoke of national leader Heydar Aliyev`s life and political activity. Underlining Heydar Aliyev`s role in development of modern Azerbaijan, the ambassador said that he was an excellent example to every Azerbaijani.

Chairman of the UK-Azerbaijani interparliamentary group Christopher Pincher provided an insight into the book, and stressed the importance of presenting the political activity of the national leader to the world. He expressed confidence that the UK-Azerbaijan relations would continue strengthening.

Azerbaijani MP Javanshir Feyziyev emphasized the significance of the book for those who want to study Azerbaijan`s political priorities.

Author Graeme Wilson said he was happy to have written a book about such a historical personality as Heydar Aliyev.
