Azerbaijan's legendary 416 Taganrog division monumentalized in Ukraine

A memorial complex to the 416th Taganrog Azerbaijan division was unveiled in Besarabka village, Nikolayev region, Ukraine.

Construction of the complex was supported by the Heydar Aliyev Center of Culture and Education.
Addressing the event, deputy chairman of the Center Yunus Aliyev highlighted heroism of the 416th Azerbaijani division during the war.

Other speakers, including war veterans, also noted that new generation should know about bravery of Azerbaijani sons and girls who fought for freedom of Ukraine in 1941-1945.

The 416th Azerbaijani National Division of the Soviet Army heroically fought against fascists during the Great Patriotic War.
