Azerbaijan`s new draft Migration Code presented to parliament

“The Azerbaijan Presidential Administration has introduced a draft Migration Code to the parliament,” chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, head of the Azerbaijan Lawyers Confederation Ali Huseynli has said.

He noted that within the next month the Migration Code would be discussed in the committees and at a plenary session of the parliament.

"The approval of the Code is planned for the spring session of Milli Majlis. The main purpose of its adoption is to regulate migration processes by a single document. After the approval, both foreigners and citizens of the country will be governed only by this legal act, and we believe that it will be very effective," Huseynli said.
