“Half A Century in the Middle East” book by former Ambassador introduced

Presentation of Elman Arasli’s book “Half a Century in the Middle East”, jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) and the Union of Writers of Azerbaijan was held here.
The ceremony was opened by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, rector ADA Hafiz Pashayev who noted that the activities of the prominent diplomat, scholar, public figure E. Arasli is an example for young Azerbaijani diplomats.

Hafiz Pashayev said that E. Arasli played a major role in the opening of diplomatic missions of independent Azerbaijan in the Arab countries, the representation of Azerbaijan in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

ADA’s Rector emphasized that the author has a great deal of information about Arab culture and history. He noted that E. Arasli has been working for 35 years of his life abroad as ambassador to Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Yemen and Saudi Arabia, and a representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, has reached high levels during the period of diplomatic activity.

Having regarded the book as a valuable work, national writer Anar said that the publication would be a model for our future diplomats. According to him, E. Arasli, having an interesting life, during business trips have visited all states of the Middle East, adequately performed his duties.

Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade praised E. Arasli’s role in expanding ties among Islamic countries.

Ambassador of Jordan to the country Adel Mohammad Adaileh noted the important role of Arasli in establishment of relations between the Arab states and Azerbaijan, strengthening the friendly relations.
