
An event dedicated to opening of the training on the efficient monitoring of the state program on Azerbaijani Youth in 2011-2015 and forming of the structure of appraisal indicators has been held.
The training was organized as part of the joint Youth Participation in Decision Making and Policy Implementation project of the UNDP and Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan. The event was attended by representatives of the ministries and youth organizations.
Opening the event, Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Intigam Babayev said that the aim of the training is to conduct more effective monitoring and appraisal system for the state program and involve youth people into decision making and implementation process.
Babayev pointed out that respective trainings were held as part of the program, participating youth will take an active part in the social life of the country with their initiatives and programs. It will set the stage for improvement of the legislative base in the youth policy. He underlined that involvement of youth in preparation of youth-related documents is an important issue.
Deputy UN resident-coordinator in Azerbaijan Nato Alkhazishvili said the international community appreciated the existence of the state program of Azerbaijan in the youth policy, which, according to her, may become an example for other countries.
She noted that the appraisal monitoring based on results is of great importance and highlighted the importance of getting positive results as part of the state program.
Chief of the Ministry`s department Indira Hajiyeva delivered a lecture on the state program Azerbaijani Youth in 2011-2015 and its components.
Training will last until February 21st.
