Azeri ambassador visits various institutions in Canada

Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Canada Farid Shafiyev held some meetings in the capital of the Alberta province, Edmonton.

During the meetings with Agriculture Minister of Alberta Verlyn Olson, Minister of international and intergovernmental relations Cal Dallas, discussions revolved around the current state of bilateral relations between Alberta and Azerbaijan, its prospects for development, cooperation in the oil and gas industry and agriculture.
The Azerbaijani diplomat visited the Canmet Energy Technologies Center in Devon, Canada`s leading research center for energy technologies. He shared his views on the prospects for partnership between the center and Azerbaijani research institutes.

The ambassador also had meetings in the University of Alberta `s Engineering and Biological Sciences department and conducted discussions on the ways to promote cooperation between the Alberta University and Azerbaijani educational institutions.
