ECO heads of blood transfusion institutions gather in Baku

Heads of blood transfusion institutions of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member countries have come together in Azerbaijan`s capital for their 3rd meeting.

Organized by Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Health, the event brings together delegates from nine countries.

Opening the meeting, Azeri deputy health minister Elsever Agayev highlighted what had been done to improve the quality of blood services in the country.

The event will hear several reports, and the participants will discuss a range of issues, including cooperation among the ECO member countries in blood transfusion, involvement of volunteer donors and blood supply.
