
British ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Bateman has yesterday visited Baku High Oil School where he met Rector Elmar Gasimov.
The rector said today the major issue on the agenda is training of personnel meeting international standards in the School.
He noted the School accepts students with the highest achievements, and it is equipped with the very latest technology.
The rector pointed out partnership relations had been established between the Baku High Oil School and British Heriot-Watt University.
Gasimov said establishment of relations with British scientific and education centers was of special importance.
Ambassador Bateman said the operation of modern high education school such as the Baku High Oil School in Azerbaijan was of great importance for the country.
He also praised successful economic and political reforms carried out in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. The diplomat noted Azerbaijan was an important country for the UK and European Union member states.
Bateman noted the embassy was ready to cooperate with the Baku High Oil School and supports establishment of relations with various education centers of UK.
