Group of Azerbaijani specialists go to France to exchange experience

A group of specialists of the “Ethylene-Polyethylene” plant of SOCAR`s Azerkimya Production Union have left for France to exchange experience on technological peculiarities and working principals of the cooling water reducers, which`s installation has already been completed at plant`s EP-300 production.

The visit also aims to increase the diversity of products, improve quality and design.

SOCAR`s main efforts in the modernization of Azerkimya`s production chain was focused on developing the ethylene-polyethylene plant and associated industries. Some eight years ago, thanks to an upgrading of some equipment and the launching of the Japanese-made EP-300 steam generating station here, the plant`s export potential increased considerably, and the leader of the Azerbaijani chemical sector has kept the entire chemical industry of Sumqayit afloat for many years. After the recently completed capital remodeling at the plant, the operation of the whole technological chain -- the EP-300 system and its extension Polimir-120 -- has been resumed. Putting into operation of a new liquid cooling system and construction of a nitrogen-oxygen plant is in the offing.
