
According to the Plan for Regional Development of Greater Baku, high-speed railways is supposed to be laid in Absheron peninsula by 2030.
Electric trains will run on the line which is going to be 90 kilometers.
Pursuant to the plan, on which work has not been completed, the line will start from the Bilajari train station and cover M.A.Rasulzade, "8-km", Sabunchu, Surakhani, Bina, Mardakan, Mashtaga, Zabrat settlements, as well as Novkhani and Pirshagi.
The plan envisages to cover 11 districts of Baku, Sumgait and Absheron region, including Khirdalan - a total area of 280 thousand hectares.
